Mechanical Quality Control Engineer

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Systems / Mechanical Installation.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality control or site supervision of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, boilers, pumps, chimneys, installations) in the construction sector.
  • Knowledge of mechanical installation processes, piping systems, test-measurement devices, installation acceptance procedures, and relevant standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office; able to prepare quality documentation, checklists, and test reports.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail; capable of coordinating with site-office teams; excellent communication skills.
  • Work on-site, participate in testing and inspection processes, and adapt to flexible work schedules.

Job Description

  • Prepare or review quality control plans, ITPs , and procedures specific to mechanical and installation works at the start of mechanical activities.
  • İnspect mechanical equipment and installation materials during material acceptance to ensure conformity with technical specifications, project drawings, and standards.
  • Supervise on-site mechanical installation works including piping, HVAC systems, pumps, boilers, and other mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with quality requirements; conduct site inspections.
  • İdentify non-conformities , report them, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Evaluate mechanical systems’ performance and quality during installation tests, pre-commissioning inspections, and commissioning processes.
  • Prepare and archive quality documentation: checklists, test results, material certificates, installation acceptance forms, and related documents.
  • Coordinate with project, subcontractor, and engineering teams; promote quality awareness in mechanical works on site.
  • Analyze the impact of mechanical works on cost, schedule, and quality objectives; provide improvement recommendations to management as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality management system standards and local mechanical/installation regulations.
