Construction - Mechanical Site Chief

Job Description

To ensure the safe and effective functioning of mechanical systems and equipment, supervise maintenance and repair operations, manage the mechanical maintenance team, and make sure that all maintenance activities are performed in line with defined technical, safety, quality, and operational standards.

  •  Lead the mechanical maintenance team, oversee their activities, and coordinate daily maintenance tasks,
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with relevant departments during scheduled and emergency maintenance work,
  • Supervise the activities of external contractors and service providers, ensuring that maintenance work is carried out safely and in compliance with established standards,
  • Monitor maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts, tools, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduating from bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering,
  • Having at least 5–7 years of experience in the installation and implementation of mechanical systems (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, ventilation, etc.) in construction projects,
  • Having at least 2–5 years of experience in a Mechanical Site Supervisor/Chief position and possessing management experience,
  • Planning the daily activities of subcontractor teams and supervise on-site installations to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and technical specifications,
  • Demonstrating proficiency in a material approval, procurement, testing, and commissioning processes for mechanical systems,
  • Coordinating and communicating effectively with electrical and construction teams on site,
  • Preparing and regularly submitting daily and weekly site progress reports to management,
  • Having a good command of AutoCAD and MS Office,
  • Possessing strong team management and analytical thinking skills and applying Occupational Health and Safety rules accordingly.
