Job Description

The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the timely and accurate identification of material requirements in line with the production plan, effective planning of material supply, and minimization of the risk of material shortages throughout the production process.

  • Calculating material requirements based on production plans, BOM (Bill of Materials), and available inventory levels;
  • Analyzing MRP system results on a daily/regular basis and take appropriate actions as required;
  • Coordinating with Procurement and other relevant departments to ensure the availability of materials by the required dates;
  • Identifying potential material shortages in advance and analyze their potential impact on production;
  • Monitoring critical materials and communicate potential delay risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner;
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identify excess and shortage of materials;
  • Optimizing material order dates and required quantities;
  • Analyzing the impact of changes in production plans or product structures on material requirements;
  • Verifying and update the accuracy of material planning-related data in ERP/MRP systems;
  • Working closely with Procurement, Production Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering, and other relevant departments;
  • Preparing reports on material supply and shortages and present them to management;
  • Developing recommendations to improve the material planning process and increase its efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field is preferred;
  • Previous experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, or a related field is preferred;
  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) principles and processes;
  • Knowledge of BOM, inventory, Lead Time, Safety Stock, Lot Size, Reorder Point, and other material planning concepts;
  • Proficiency in working with ERP/MRP systems;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong ability to analyze large volumes of data and draw meaningful conclusions;
  • Strong analytical and systematic thinking skills;
  • Ability to identify problems in a timely manner and propose effective solutions;
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills;
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with various departments and stakeholders;
  • High level of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail;
  • Candidates who have completed military service (for those eligible for military service) are preferred.
